Sretsis Spring – Summer 2024 collection manifests a dream field that blurs the lines of surreal reality with a sharp focus on effervescent energy and romanticism redefined. Everyday essentials are re-evaluated with a keen attention to surface treatments and intricate embroideries, summer-ready dresses in vibrant shades are adorned with crafted flowers, and sorry-not-sorry fiercely feminine dresses encapsulate the perfect wardrobe for a modern woman that knows her dreams are very easily made into reality, with a little help from Sretsis.
Taking inspiration from Creative Director, Pim Sukhahuta’s, dreams of a meadow overgrown with a fantasy field of wild flowers, this season’s signature print entitled “Lucid Dreamfields” is a powerful representation of manifestation. “The power is within you to create your ideal version of reality. The Sretsis women this season is care-free in a dream field of impossible flowers that have bloomed within different Sretsis prints in the past, but this time all blossoming in unison for our ‘Lucid Dreamfields’.” From elevated essentials to 100% cotton day dresses, the bold print is envisioned in slightly muted cream, pink, midnight blue, and green. Elegant hand-crafted satin flowers accent necklines, while smocked waistbands accentuate the form of painterly dresses trimmed with signature embroidered tulle.
Balancing the colorful frocks is a carte blanche collection of pristine white looks perfected with intricate crafty details that modernized Victorian era techniques. Strips of Sretsis logo embroidered tulle are painstakingly pieced together to form the gentle flutters of capelets and dresses. Aforementioned logo uses the language of flowers or the initials of flowers (S – Sunflower, R – Rose, E – English Bluebell, T – Tulip, S – Sweet Pea, I – Iris, S – Shasta Daisy) to spell out the brand’s namesake. Those same flowers are also found on hand-crochet details on 100% cotton knit separates, such as halter-tops, boleros, and skirts in varying lengths. White denim pieces are edged with blown-up broderie anglaise details that playoff the stone-wash denim counterpart embroidered with whispers of tiny flowers. Last but not least, hand-smocked details a design element explored throughout the collection is heightened with the 100% cotton Dotted Swiss tea-dress in white with hand-embroidered ‘Sretsis’ on the bib.
A palate cleanser of summer dresses in sorbet shades embolden the fancy flower tops introduced in Spring – Summer 2023 (and made famous by Blackpink’s Jennie Kim). Only Rose, Daisy, and White Poppy dresses decorated with three dimensional oversized flowers are the answers to the summer wedding conundrums we’ve all been waiting for.
Encapsulating the collection in bold and beautiful blooms are cocktail dresses long in length and no short of show-stopping. “Lady Marguerite” with layers upon layers of “Daisy Fields” printed 100% silk organza, “Lucid Dreamfields” with diaphanous ruffles in 100% silk chiffon, and “Olivia Rose” asymmetrical evening ensemble that showcases swaths of barely there “Only Rose” printed silk chiffon punctuated with a pink rosette.
